Product Overview

Available in a range from 100 to 1,600 CFM, the CRC Series Flow, Fan-Powered, Sensible Cooling VAV Terminal unit offers our commercial clients tremendous flexibility to meet a wide variety of HVAC system design requirements. The series flow fan-powered unit with sensible cooling is specifically designed for quiet operation, sensible cooling, and offers improved space comfort. Due to rising interest in indoor air quality, many HVAC system designers are focusing on the effects of particulate contamination within a building’s occupied space—HVAC system noise is often overlooked as a source of occupied space contamination. The CRC is specifically designed to eliminate obtrusive fan noise from reaching building occupants while providing constant air motion in the space combined with sensible cooling. The VAV terminal recovers heat from lights and core areas to offset heating loads in perimeter zones. Additional heat is available at the terminal unit using electric or hot-water heating coils. Controls are available to energize remote heating devices such as wall fins, fan coils, radiant panels, and roof load plenum unit heaters.

Tested in accordance with AHRI 880. Cooling coil is 410-certified and labeled. Coils are tested by ENVIRO-TEC at a minimum of 450 PSIG under-water and rated at 450 PSIG working pressure at 200° F
½-inch dual density micromat insulation
120-, 208-, 230-, and 277-volt, single-phase EC motors
Optional scrim-reinforced foil-faced insulation meeting ASTM C1136 for mold, mildew, and humidity resistance; optional ½-inch or 1-inch elastomeric closed-cell foam or foil-faced fiberglass insulation; optional 1-inch or 2-inch throwaway or pleated filter located at induction inlet
Electric heat options include staged or proportional with SSR and fused or non-fused door interlocking disconnect switches
Factory-furnished 2-way and 3-way CW and HW piping packages with on/off, modulating, or proportional controls, and fixed flow or adjustable flow PICV control devices

20-gauge galvanized steel casing and valve
Forward curved, dynamically balanced, direct-drive, galvanized fan wheel
